Week 18- greeting card

    Mine is the Christmas series. Breaking out of the frame, I used white and navy mostly so that is kinda different with the normal red and green Christmas card. White and navy also bring a wintery feels, it is not that cute like the red and green Christmas theme but the beautiful of wintery Christmas mood.

 When I was designing these cards, I was thinking about what kind of card I really want to receive. A clean and simple card but it must be beautiful, so I designed them. 

Saw this type of packaging in shopping complex then I copied. Love it with the simple form.

Week 16- colour wheel

     

     We done the platform at first, we painted in green so it look like grass, and then sticked some dry coconut fiber to decorated. 

      Firstly, melted the sugar.

    Then, added glucose, it won't break it easily. 

    After that, added colour.

    This is me. I used the spoon to made the petals one by one.

   Waited them cool down then carefully took them because they are really thin. 

     Took a wire then sticked them one by one like this.

    I'm arranging them followed the colour wheel. 

We spend whole night doing these. It was tough but we did it. The scars on our fingers is the mark, we will never forgot what we have done. I feel pleasure even now. 

Week 13 - presentation of paper cutting

     

    I painted the background by using water colour and the rest are all paper cutting. 

     The reflection. I cut on a half A4 size  white paper, separated the main object and the background, pasted it differently in a A4 size black paper. 

      I spent 2 days to finished these. It was tough but I really love the outcome.

Week 12 - start cutting

      I started my cutting with a white drawing paper.

    After cutting, another difficult part is pasting. I thought it will be easy but I was wrong. 

Week 11- new assignment : paper cutting

     

     This is my sketch of the great wave of Kanagawa - The thirty six views of Mount Fuji by Hokusai. Why I chose this as my paper cutting because I want something that represent a really strong emotion to everyone when they look at my art work and these let me connected to wave. And why I didn't created my own wave but used the Great wave because everyone know the Great wave so that everyone can be infected by its strong and communicable emotion that brings out. 

week 10 - assignment 2

WEEK 10 - ASSIGNMENT 2

            I have chosen pipes for my subject matter. My avenue is the campus, all of the pictures I took at the night because I was shy standing alone at the middle of the way. Actually taking photo of pipes is quite challenging to me because pipes are above our head so I need to bend my body from the back and raised my hand really high while holding the frame. It was hard! I took almost 50s shots of  different pipes with different view.I selected 30 shots to make this video and added some effect and music. Besides that, I also edited the color of the pictures to make it nicer, hope you will enjoy it. Thank you for watching.   

art movement and self portrait

WEEK 5 - ART MOVEMENT AND SELF PORTRAIT

The art movement that I have chosen for my self portrait is Art Nouveau. Art Nouveau appeared during 1890s in Europe. Typically using the arabesque, the floral or animal pattern and the feminine silhouette. So at first, I chose my favourite daisy to draw on the bottom of the paper, but why not the centre? Because it will block my face. Then, I drew my face in side view because I refered to the famous pieces, women are drew in different view or poses. Last, I added on the frame with a typically arabesque pattern to make it more likely to the Art Nouveau. You can see that I also colored the background in beige tone, these are parts of the Art Nouveau.

My self-portrait - Principle of Design

1 week later......haha! All the leaves become dry and changed their colour into darker. You can see that I used different materials to build my face and of course my hair, my favorite part is my eyes and eyebrows. I used flowers in yellow and red to add some colours into this picture. I hope to done it in more details and attentive, I think this will make the picture more vivid n beautiful. 

My personal mind map-Principle of Design

This is my mind map. I done it in 30minutes. U can see it I prefer drawing then writing. I had realized that my drawing is quite small and only few of them, it is too neat for a main map. So, I hope I can do it in more pictures and more details about me next time. Thankyou for reading.✌✌✌☺
